Manual Lymphatic Drainage / Post-Op Liposuction

A gentle manual technique designed to re-route lymphatic fluid around blocked or inefficient areas of your body. The lymphatic system plays a major role in your immune system by helping to fight off disease, illness, and bacteria. With post surgical procedures, such as liposuction, you may experience prolonged swelling and pockets filled with fluid that can slow down healing and compromise results. Lymphatic massage combines gentle stretching of the skin along with deep techniques such as breathing to help accelerate the recovery of mobilizing fluid and alleviating these discomforts.

Medical
Massage

Unlike traditional forms of massage such as Swedish and hot stone, medical massage is specifically designed to target certain conditions and issues in the body. Medical massage can assist with a physical therapy recovery need, to helping with alleviating Osteoarthritic pain, low back pain, chronic joint inflammation, post surgical swelling in joints, and more. Medical massage does not rely on a single technique or style of treatment, but rather integrates various methodologies from a variety of massage categories in order to achieve certain or desired results. Medical massage may also include some rehabilitative stretching to prevent re-injury or future harm.

Swedish / Relaxation Massage

Swedish massage is the most traditional form of Western massage, and for many in the United States, it’s the image associated with massage. Swedish massage, or relaxation massage is a relatively gentle massage form focused on the body’s superficial layers. It is provided to energize the body, promote general relaxation, circulation, and improve overall health. Swedish massage may help reduce symptoms of depression, stress, and anxiety.

Deep Tissue Massage

While many massage techniques induce relaxation with soothing and gentle kneading, deep tissue massage involves more intense muscle manipulation. It targets your body’s deepest layers of muscle and releases tension by applying intense, controlled pressure and friction to an afflicted area. Deep tissue may cause some discomfort and soreness the day after treatment.

Sammy's Customized Massage

This massage service is specifically tailored to an individual’s unique needs. In this approach, a variety of pressure and techniques are applied to help restore your body to its normal structural foundation. A mix of trigger point, deep tissue, muscle energy, and myofascial release may be applied to affected muscle tissue requiring the specific technique.
